About Valley Center Public Library
Established in a drugstore in 1923, the Valley Center Library was managed and funded by volunteers known as the Progressive Women’s Club, which later became the Friends of the Library. The Friends continued to fundraise through the purchase/construction of three different buildings since the Library was originally established. Today the Library serves the 7300 plus residents in the growing City of Valley Center, people from surrounding area, as well as out of town visitors and guests, by providing access to information for education and recreation, programming and entertainment for people of all ages.
