Saturday, September 21st, 2024:

  • 8:30am  62nd Annual Fall Festival Parade line up begins at Valley Center Intermediate School, 737 N Meridian
  • 9:15am Parade Bike & Trike Contest: First United Methodist Church, 560 N. Park Ave. Registration at 9 followed by judging and awards, after the parade kids can be picked up in the South parking lot at LifePoint Church. *One adult must walk with their child(ren)*
  • 10am  Valley Center Fall Festival Parade begins (south down Meridian from VCIS to Clay St)
  • 11am – 10pm Information Alley (information, button registration, lost & found), Midway Main Street Outdoor Vendors, Food Court, Xclusuive Beer Truck, LeVenue Indoor Marketplace
  • 11am – 5pm WEEE Entertainment Ride-O-Rama Session #2
  • 11am VCRC Pickleball Tournament in Lions Park, 316 S Abilene PRE REGISTRATION with VCRC is required
  • 11am Washer Tournament in Lyons Park, off Colby Street (south of the swimming pool) pre-registration not required
  • 1pm Main Stage: Newton Performing Arts Center
  • 12:30-1:30pm Kids Fishing Derby at McLaughlin Park Pond, pre-registration not required
  • 2pm Fastest Hook in the Valley Crochet Contest at the VC Library, 314 E Clay PRE REGISTRATION with VC Library is required
  • 2pm Main Stage : VCHS Jazz Band
  • 2pm – 4pm Kids’ Festival in Lion’s Park – 316 S Abilene, Sponsored by LifePoint Church (inflatables, popcorn, games, and more!)
  • 2:30pm Frog & Turtle Races -314 E Clay, VC Library back patio (behind the library)

Do you have a kiddo who would LOVE to be in the parade but isn’t participating in or on a parade float? Here’s your opportunity to be the hero!
🌟 Parade Bike and Trike Decorating Contest 🌟
Decorate a bike or trike for the contest, then after the judging, everyone gets to ride their bike or trike in the parade!
First United Methodist Church, 560 N. Park South Parking Lot
Registration begins promptly at 9am followed by judging and awards at 9:15am. Parents can then walk with their rider in line for the parade! *ONE ADULT MUST WALK WITH THEIR CHILD(REN)*
Prizes awarded for: the Best Theme “In My VC Era”, Most Creative, & Judges Favorite (2 Judges) in each age category

Who’s ready to catch some fish? 🎣
Kids Fishing Derby Saturday, September 21st, from 12:30pm-1:30pm at McLaughlin Park Pond
Catch the biggest or the smallest! Pre-registration is not required however please check in at the pond before the derby begins at 12:30pm!
Boy Scout volunteers and the Kansas Department of Wildlife & Parks will be on hand to help measure fish, pass out any needed fishing poles and hand out prizes to our winners!

Buttons for the general public can be purchased for $5 each at the Valley Center Library during Library hours. They can be at the VC Chamber Office on:

Monday, September 16th 10am-3:30pm or

Tuesday, September 17th 9am-noon

Wednesday 9/18, Thursday 9/19, and Friday9/20 pick-ups will need to be made by appointment.

Registered for the parade and don’t have your button? Please remember that all adults participating in the parade (walking, riding, sitting, driving etc) must have a button (kids do not need a button). With your parade submission, you may receive up to 10 buttons. If you have more than 10 adults participating on a float, additional buttons can be purchased for participants at $2.50 each.  Parade buttons must be picked up and/or purchased at the Chamber Office during the above listed times.

Note: All adult parade participants must wear a 2024 Fall Festival button for entry

Parade Details:

  • A Parade Coordinator will contact you with your lineup time and location before Saturday morning
  • Parade lineup begins at the Valley Center Intermediate School, 737 North Meridian, at 8:30 a.m. Volunteers will direct you to your place in line
  • The parade starts at 10am
  • Please follow the lineup instructions carefully; do not assume your location in the lineup
  • Judging begins at 9:15 a.m.

Additional Information:

  • All adult participants must wear a 2024 Fall Festival button for entry
  • Enjoy a 50% discount on additional buttons when you register
  • Forms must be received by Friday, September 13th, 2024
  • No same-day registration is accepted
  • Additional buttons can be purchased at the Chamber Office
